"Keep the Fire Burnin'" is a song by REO Speedwagon from their 1982 album ''Good Trouble (album), Good Trouble''. This single was the only track from the ''Good Trouble'' album to make the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, pop charts, cresting at number seven. Background It is also the only tune from the album to feature Kevin Cronin on keyboards (piano), which, although primarily the band's lead singer and acoustic/rhythm guitarist, he had begun using (in the studio) on the ''You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish'' album. This is the only song from the band's ''Good Trouble (album), Good Trouble'' album to have been performed live in its entirety following its supporting tour in 1983. Despite that fact, however, it is still a significant rarity in the band's setlists that has only been performed a handful of times over the last 35 years. REO Speedwagon (originally stylized as R.E.O. Speedwagon) is an American rock band from Champaign, Illinois. Formed in 1967, the band cultivated a following during the 1970s and achieved significant commercial success throughout the 1980s. Neal Doughty
Neal Allan Doughty (born July 29, 1946, in Evansville, Indiana) is an American keyboardist, best known as a founding member of the rock band REO Speedwagon and the only member to have played on every album. He formed the band in fall 1967, with original drummer Alan Gratzer. Although he has never been one of REO Speedwagon's primary songwriters, Doughty has written or co-written several of the band's songs. Songs for which he is the sole composer include "Sky Blues" from 1974, " One Lonely Night" from 1984 and "Variety Tonight" from 1987. The latter two songs charted as ''Billboard'' singles, with "One Lonely Night" cracking the top 20. His most notable playing includes the Hammond organ solo on "Roll with the Changes" and the honky-tonk piano work on " 157 Riverside Avenue". The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. The CHUM Chart was a ranking of top 30 (and, until August 1968, the top 50) songs on Toronto, Ontario radio station CHUM AM, from 1957 to 1986, and was the longest-running Top 40 chart in the world produced by an individual radio station. On January 10, 1998, sister station CHUM-FM, which airs a hot adult contemporary format, revived the CHUM Chart name for a new countdown show. The CHUM Chart also aired as a television program on Citytv every Saturday at 2:00 P.M. until January 2008, when the show was discontinued after Rogers Communications gained control of the Citytv stations and replaced it with the ''JackNation'' chart, a show based on their Jack FM radio brand. Richard James Page (born May 16, 1953) is an American musician who is best known as the lead singer and bassist of 1980s band Mr. Mister. The band's hits include "Broken Wings (Mr. Mister song), Broken Wings" and "Kyrie (song), Kyrie".
