Keep On Movin' (Alexia Song)
"Keep On Movin'" is the seventh single released by the Italian singer Alexia released in 1998 and the third and final single from her second album '' The Party''. Although listed on Alexia's Italian Wikipedia page as a Radio promo single, physical versions were released. For the single version, the opening dialogue of partygoers "Hey Alexia! What a party you are having tonight! How do you organise such a thing?" was cut, replaced by a "Go DJ!", though the dialogue in the middle8 and at the end of the song was left. Release The track was released in Italy on CD and 12" (Sony Code 666553) followed by Finland and Spain. Promotional releases were issued in Mexico and Brazil. The song was to be released in the UK, but after the lack of success of both " The Music I Like" and '' The Party'', the idea was scrapped. Alexia (born Alessia Aquilani, 19 May 1967) is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career, she was the vocalist of Ice MC. In her career, she has sold over 6 million records with ten top 10 singles, four of which were number-ones with numerous international sales certifications. ''The Party'' is the second studio album by Italian singer Alexia released in 1998. The album saw Alexia begin to branch away from the eurodance sound of '' Fan Club'' towards Europop, causing disappointment amongst some of Alexia's fans. The album contained the Almighty Edit of " Uh La La La" as a bonus track for territories which had seen the release of ''Fan Club'', and the lead track for the UK and Australia where the song had been released in its remixed version. "The Party" refers to the album's opening track " Keep On Movin'" in which Alexia is credited for hosting a good party. The album sold 500,000 copies worldwide. It is her sixth single overall and reached number one in Italy. A complete set of remixes for the UK market were issued which were later released in Italy. Release The track was initially released in Italy on maxi CD, 2 track CD and 12" before being released across mainland Europe. The UK lead remix of Alexia's previous single " Gimme Love" was a bonus track on the CD and 12" release. A limited edition 12" doublepack was released, the second disc containing some of the unreleased UK remixes of "Gimme Love".
