Albert Keep
Albert Keep (1826 – May 13, 1907) was a 19th-century American railroad official and financier. He was a former president and director of the Chicago and North Western Railway. For eighteen years he was director of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway. He was born in Homer, New York, in Cortland County. Keep moved to Whitewater, Wisconsin, in 1846. He became a leading merchant there, working along with his brother, Henry, and Philander Peck. The Keeps and Peck relocated to Chicago, Illinois, in 1851. They were involved in trade and began to accumulate wealth. The brothers took an interest in promoting the Chicago and North Western Railway and Albert served as its director for fourteen years. As a result of his leadership the railroad became one of the best built, equipped, and managed in the midwest. Albert Keep died in Chicago on May 13, 1907. Angela Keep
Angela Keep (born 1981) is an Australian actress. Career Keep's television debut on the sitcom ''Hey Dad..!''. She played Jenny Kelly, taking over the role from Sarah Monahan, on the show for two seasons, from 1993 until 1994. In 1997, she starred in children's mini series, ''Spellbinder: Land of the Dragon Lord'' and in the drama Breakers (TV series), Breakers (1998–99). Keep also appeared in ''Home and Away'' where she played Skye Patterson. Henry Keep (American Football)
Henry Keep (July 19, 1872 – December 1965) was an American football coach. He served as the first head football coach at Michigan Agricultural College, now known as Michigan State University, from 1897 to 1898, compiling a record of 8–5–1. He served as the school's football and track coach while also attending the college as an engineering student. Keep was a student at the University of Michigan during the 1893–94 academic year before transferring to Michigan Agricultural. As of 1901, he was working for the George Fuller & Co. in New York. Henry Keep (June 22, 1818 – July 30, 1869) was an American currency speculator, banker, stock speculator, and railroad financier who invested heavily in the Chicago and North Western Railway, Cleveland and Toledo Railroad, Michigan Southern and Northern Indiana Railroad, and New York Central Railroad. He was treasurer of the Michigan Southern and Northern Indiana Railroad from 1861 to 1863, and briefly president of the New York Central Railroad in 1866. Early life Henry Keep was born on June 22, 1818, in Adams, New York, to Herman Chandler Keep and his wife, Dorothy ( Kent). He had two sisters, Mary and Martha. Henry Francis (later used middle name of Frederick) Keep (27 January 1863 – 26 September 1905) was a Member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 1894 to 1897. Henry Francis Keep was born at Wollaston, Northamptonshire, Wollaston on 27 January 1863, son of Adam Corrie Keep, a farmer who won prizes as a sheep breeder and was chairman of the Wollaston school board, and Eliza, née Williams. Around 1890 he emigrated to Western Australia, establishing himself as a shipping agent at Cossack, Western Australia, Cossack. Around 1893 he moved to Fremantle, Western Australia, Fremantle where he was agent for the Adelaide Steamship Company until 1897. Jason Beau Keep (born May 9, 1978) is a former professional basketball player who started his collegiate carrier with the Oklahoma State Cowboys and later transferred to the San Diego Toreros men's basketball, San Diego Torreros. Nathan Cooley Keep (1800–1875) was a pioneer in the field of dentistry, and the founding Dean of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Biography Keep was born in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, on December 23, 1800. Adept with his hands, he became interested in dentistry following an apprenticeship with a local jeweler. In 1821, he moved to Boston and graduated from Harvard Medical School with an M.D. in 1827. He practiced dentistry for 40 years, was hailed for his proficiency, and in 1843 was awarded an honorary D.D.S. by the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Keep invented and manufactured many dental tools and is credited with being one of the first to manufacture porcelain teeth.
