Laurence Keen
Laurence John Keen (born 1943), is a British archaeologist, historian, author and art expert. He served as the County Archaeologist for Dorset from 1975 to 1999 and was President of the British Archaeological Association from 1984 to 2004. In 2000 he was awarded the Order of the British Empire for 'services to archaeology'. Steve Keen (born 28 March 1953) is an Australian economist and author. He considers himself a post-Keynesian, criticising neoclassical economics as inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. The major influences on Keen's thinking about economics include John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Hyman Minsky, Piero Sraffa, Augusto Graziani, Joseph Alois Schumpeter, Thorstein Veblen, and François Quesnay. Hyman Minsky's financial instability hypothesis forms the main basis of his major contribution to economics which mainly concentrates on mathematical modelling and simulation of financial instability. Simon John Cobrin Keen (born 4 October 1987 in Penrith, New South Wales) is an Australian cricketer. He is currently a member of the New South Wales Blues state squad. Keen plays club cricket for Campbelltown in Sydney Grade cricket and has played in the Big Bash League for the Sydney Thunder in season 2012–13 and the Sydney Sixers in 2015. Sam Keen (born 1931) is an American author, professor, and philosopher who is best known for his exploration of questions regarding love, life, wonder, religion, and being a male in contemporary society. He co-produced ''Faces of the Enemy'', an award-winning PBS documentary; was the subject of a Bill Moyers' television special in the early 1990s; and for 20 years served as a contributing editor at ''Psychology Today'' magazine. Richard Keen (born 3 September 1986) is a British auto racing driver. He was most notable for entering the World Series by Renault in 2006, and for winning the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy in 2007. Career Karting Keen, born in Amersham, England, started his karting career in 1999. In 2001, he entered both the Super 1 National JICA Championship and the Trofeo Andrea Margutti ICA Junior, finishing eleventh and 23rd respectively. Richard Sanderson Keen, Baron Keen of Elie (born 29 March 1954) is a British lawyer and Conservative Party politician. He was Advocate General for Scotland from May 2015 until his resignation on 16 September 2020. Early life Keen was educated at The King's School, Rochester and Dollar Academy, and graduated LLB (with Honours) in law from the University of Edinburgh in 1976, where he was a Beckman scholar. Peter Keen CBE (born 1964) is a former cyclist, coach, and now performance director. Keen was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. In 1980 he won the schoolboy 10-mile time-trial championships. That led selection by the British Cycling Federation for the national track squad, despite having no track experience. Keen was educated at John Hampden Grammar School, before completing a sports studies degree at University College Chichester, where he began studying human performance from an academic perspective. He went on to complete a Master of Philosophy degree in Exercise Physiology at Loughborough University, and devised a research programme on the physical limitations to pursuit racing. Peter Keen
Peter Alan Keen (born 16 November 1976) is an English professional football goalkeeper. Keen was born in Middlesbrough and began his career as a trainee with Newcastle United, turning professional in August 1995. He joined Carlisle United on a free transfer in June 1999. He let in five goals on his Carlisle debut, a 5–2 defeat away to Halifax Town and did not play again until the following February when he let in another four goals away to Rotherham United. On 24 October 2000, Keen scored for Carlisle with a kick from his own penalty area in the 3–2 defeat away to Blackpool.
