Keelan Sexton
Keelan Sexton (born 1997) is a boxer and a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Kilmurry Ibrickane club and at senior level for the Clare county team. He did his Leaving Cert at Ennistymon CBS in 2016. He turned 19 in July 2016 and was already in his second season on the senior panel. He played county minor, under-21 and senior in the same season. Keelan grew up in Quilty in West Clare. He was a student at the University of Limerick. His grandfather Martin Burke was a boxer in London during the 1960s and 1970s and Keelan took after him first before turning to the Gaelic football, winning three national titles representing the West Clare boxing club and two national titles afterwards when he represented the Ennis boxing club, representing Ireland in the Schoolboy Championships and getting a bronze medal there and a gold medal at the North European Championships. Kilmurry Ibrickane GAA
Kilmurry-Ibrickane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Clare, Ireland. The club only plays gaelic football, and were Clare Senior Football Champions last in 2020, and won the Munster Senior Club Football Championship in 2004 and 2009. History A club bearing the parish name came into existence in 1914. Prior to this a team from the village of Coore reached the senior county final in 1890, losing to Ennis Dalcassians. In 1924 the club reached its first senior county final, losing to Kilrush Shamrocks. In 1933 the club won its first Clare Senior Football Championship defeating St. Senan's, Kilkee in the final. In 1935 two teams from the parish competed in a historic county final with Quilty the victors. Quilty retained their title in 1936 defeating Kilrush Shamrocks in the final, before losing to them in the 1937 final. 2022 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 2022 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 135th edition of the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament since its establishment in 1887. Tyrone entered the championship as the defending champions, but were defeated by Derry in the Ulster Championship and eliminated by Armagh in the All-Ireland Qualifiers. Thirty three teams took part: all thirty two Irish counties except Kilkenny were joined by London and New York, both of whom were back in the competition for the first time since 2019, an absence caused by public health restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
