Jim Keays
James Keays (9 September 194613 June 2014) was a Scottish-born Australian musician who fronted the rock band The Masters Apprentices as singer-songwriter, guitarist and harmonica-player from 1965 to 1972 and subsequently had a solo career. He also wrote for a music newspaper, ''Go-Set'', as its Adelaide correspondent in 1970 and its London correspondent in 1973. The Masters Apprentices had Top 20 hits on the ''Go-Set'' National Singles Charts with "Undecided", "Living in a Child's Dream", "5:10 Man", "Think about Tomorrow Today", "Turn Up Your Radio" and "Because I Love You". The band reformed periodically, including in 1987 to 1988 and again subsequently. Keays, as a member of the Masters Apprentices, was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1998. Ben Keays
Ben Keays (born 23 February 1997) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). His great-grandfather Fred Keays represented both and in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Early life Born in Melbourne, Keays participated in the Auskick program at Hampton, Victoria.AFL Record. Sara Keays
Sara Keays (pronounced "Keys", born 1 June 1947) was the personal secretary of British Conservative politician Cecil Parkinson. The two became lovers, and Keays' public revelation of her pregnancy and of their twelve-year-long affair led to his resignation as Secretary of State for Trade and Industry in the government of Margaret Thatcher. Parkinson's resignation Parkinson was forced to resign on 14 October 1983 after it was revealed that Keays was bearing his child, Flora Keays. Subsequently, as a result of a dispute over child maintenance payments, Parkinson (with Keays' initial consent) was able to gain an injunction in 1993, forbidding the British media from making any reference to their daughter. Fred Keays
Frederick William Keays (12 July 1898 – 24 June 1983) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy (1919–1921) and Collingwood (in the 1922 VFL season) in the Victorian Football League (VFL). After his playing career, Fred competed in the 1927 Stawell Gift won by his rival at that time, Tom Miles. He was trainer and committee memberfor Fitzroy spanning two decades until the Second World War. He served for a second time in WW2 having previously served and twice been wounded as a 16-year-old ANZAC in WW1. Terry Keays
Terence John "Terry" Keays (born 3 May 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood and Richmond in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). His grandfather Fred Keays represented both Fitzroy and Collingwood in the Victorian Football League. Keays was just 16 years of age when he began playing senior VFL football in 1987, the youngest Collingwood footballer to debut since Rene Kink and Stephen Clifford in 1973. A utility, he played 10 games in his debut season and also represented Victoria in the Teal Cup that year. Keays added just four games to his tally over the next two seasons, then made six appearances in 1990, a premiership year, the last of which was in round 20. Russell Keays
James Russell Keays (commonly known as Russell Keays) (30 October 1913 – 10 March 1995) was a Canadian industrialist and politician. He was a mayor in Quebec and later a Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. Born in Newport, Quebec, he attained a Bachelor of Arts at University of St. Joseph's College. In 1949, he became mayor of Gaspé, Quebec and held that post until at least 1960. He also founded ''La Cie de Bois de Baie Sud'' (South Bay Lumber) in the Gaspé region which today is known as KEGA. He was first elected at the ÃŽles-de-la-Madeleine riding in the 1958 general election. After a term in Parliament, Keays was defeated in the 1962 federal election at ÃŽles-de-la-Madeleine by Maurice Sauvé of the Liberal party.
