Kazanka (russian: Каза́нка; tt-Cyrl, Казансу, ''Qazansu'') is a river in the Russian Federation, a left tributary of the Volga. The Kazanka begins near the village of Bimeri in Arsk District and flows into the Kuybyshev Reservoir in Kazan, near the Kazan Kremlin. Arsk District
Arsky District (russian: А́рский райо́н; tt-Cyrl, Арча районы, ''Arça rayonı'') – is a territorial administrative unit and municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan within the Russian Federation. The district is located in the northern part of the republic. The administrative center is the city of Arsk. The district has several natural monuments including the source of the Kazanka river, Yanga-Salinsky slope, the Korsin grey heron colony, Tukai-kyrlay forest, Ayu Urmany, Kazanka and Shoshma rivers. Geography The Arsk district is one of the largest districts by land area in the Republic of Tatarstan encompassing a total of 1,843.7 km². Millennium Bridge (Kazan)
The ''Millennium'' Bridge ( tt-Cyrl, Милленниум күпере, Russian: Мост Милленниум) is a cable-stayed bridge that spans Kazanka River, in Kazan, Russia. Its name originates from Kazan's thousandth anniversary, widely celebrated in 2005, and from the shape of its M-like pylon. The construction of the bridge began in 2004; the first part was ready in 2005 and the second part in 2007. The building cost was approximately €94 million. It is long. The main part of this bridge is the 45-m pylon which looks like the letter M. This form originates from ''Meñyıllıq'' (Cyrillic: Меңъеллык), the Tatar for ''thousand years old'', or its Latin variant ''Millennium''. The roadway carries three lanes of traffic and a pedestrian walkway in each direction. Bolaq
The Bolaq ( tt-Cyrl, Болак, translit=Bolaq; russian: Булак, ''Bulak'') is a canal that once flowed from the northern part of Birge Kaban to Kazanka. Today it is an isolated channel in downtown Kazan. The modern length of Bolaq is , and the width is . As a street Bolaq, or, more correctly, Uñ yaq Bolaq/Pravobulachnaya and Sul yaq Bolaq/Levobulachnaya streets is a major arterial road in Central Kazan. Etymology ''Bolaq'' or ''Bulak'', the Russian spelling, refers also for two streets, that are the embankments of the channel: Left Bolaq (Sul yaq Bolaq/Levobulachnaya; Cyrillic:Сул Болак/Левобулачная) and Right Bolaq (Uñ yaq Bolaq/Pravobulachnaya; Cyrillic:Уң Болак/Правобулачная). The Kazan Kremlin (russian: Казанский кремль, Kazanskiy kreml; tt-Cyrl, Казан кирмәне) is the chief historic citadel of Russia, situated in the city of Kazan. It was built at the behest of Ivan the Terrible on the ruins of the former castle of Kazan khans. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000.
