Kayla White (born 24 September 1996) is an American track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. Professional career In April 2023, White beat Sha'Carri Richardson in the 200 meters at the inaugural Botswana Golden Grand Prix with a time of 22.38 seconds. Competing at the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, in Eugene, Oregon, she reached the semi-finals of the 100m competition. In the 200 metres, White ran a new personal best time of 22.01s to finish third overall. She was selected for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023, and qualified for the semi-finals in the 200 metres. From 2021 to 2023, Kayla White coached track and field at University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Track and field is categorized under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running and racewalking. The foot racing events, which include sprints, middle- and long-distance events, racewalking, and hurdling, are won by the athlete who completes it in the least time.
