Kayla Jay McKenna (; born 3 September 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Spanish Liga F club Villarreal CF. Born in the United States, she plays for the Jamaica women's national team. Club career Houston Dash In April 2019, McCoy signed with the Houston Dash ahead of the 2019 season. Rangers In May 2021, McCoy started training with Rangers, leading to her signing with the club three months later. Villarreal In July 2023, McKenna signed with Villarreal in Spain. International career McCoy made her debut for Jamaica in a 1–0 friendly win against Chile on 28 February 2019. Jamaica Women's National Football Team
The Jamaica women's national football team, nicknamed the "Reggae Girlz", is one of the top women's national football teams in the Caribbean region along with Trinidad and Tobago and Haiti. In 2008, the team was disbanded after it failed to get out of the group stage of Olympic Qualifying, which notably featured the United States and Mexico. The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup was the eighth edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international Women's association football championship contested by 24 women's national teams representing member associations of FIFA. Glasgow Cup
The Glasgow Cup is a football tournament open to teams from Glasgow, Scotland. Operated by the Glasgow Football Association, it was competed for annually by senior Glasgow clubs from 1887 until 1989. It is now (since the 2019–20 amended rules) competed for between the senior teams of Clyde, Partick Thistle and Queen's Park and the youth teams of Celtic and Rangers, and has used both knockout and round robin formats to determine the finalists. The cup was dominated by the city's Old Firm rivals, Rangers and Celtic, who won the competition 44 times and 29 times respectively (including one shared win) while it was a senior competition. Only five times did the final not feature either Rangers or Celtic (1889, 1915, 1946, 1947, and 1989). The Scottish Women's Premier League Cup or SWPL Cup is a league cup competition in women's football in Scotland. The Cup is open only to the teams in the Scottish Women's Premier League. There are four rounds, including the final. The competition was launched in 2002–03 along with the Scottish Women's Premier League, and the Cup's first winners were Kilmarnock. The trophy has been won most often by Hibernian, seven times. The 2021–22 Scottish Women's Premier League was the 21st season of the SWPL, the highest division of women's football in Scotland since 2002. The league is split into two divisions – SWPL 1 with 10 teams and SWPL 2 with seven teams, following the resignation of Forfar Farmington in 2021. Glasgow City were the defending champions of 14 consecutive seasons. The Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) is the highest level of league competition in women's football in Scotland. Its two divisions are SWPL 1 and SWPL 2. The league was formed when the Premier Division of the Scottish Women's Football League (SWFL) broke away to form the SWPL in 2002. SWPL 2 was introduced in 2016. The NWSL Challenge Cup, currently known as the UKG NWSL Challenge Cup for sponsorship reasons, is an annual tournament organized by the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the top-tier women's league in the United States soccer league system. Ciaran Paul McKenna (born 25 March 1998) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a centre back or right back. McKenna has previously played for Falkirk, Hamilton Academical, Partick Thistle and Queen of the South. Pearnel Charles (born 1936) is a Jamaican politician with the Jamaica Labour Party who was the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Early life Charles was born in 1936 in the parish of St. Ann. He attended Lime Tree Garden Elementary School, West Indies College and the City College of the University of New York where he was President of the West Indian Students' Association.
