Kay Setches
Kay Patricia Setches (born 28 November 1944) is an Australian politician. She was a Labor Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1982 to 1992, representing the electorate of Ringwood. She was Minister for Conservation, Forests and Lands from 1988 to 1990, Minister for Community Services from 1990 to 1992 and Minister Responsible for Child Care from 1991 to 1992. Setches was born in Melbourne, and was educated at St Joseph's Collingwood, Cromwell Street State School, and the Collingwood School of Domestic Arts. She resided in Croydon from 1964, and was a shop assistant before entering politics. She joined the Labor Party in 1972 and was involved in a number of community organisations, including serving as co-ordinator of the Maroondah Halfway House Group, a women's refuge, from 1977 to 1978 and president of the Boronia Technical School Council from 1979 to 1983. Electoral District Of Kilsyth
Kilsyth was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. It was a 41 km² electorate located in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, encompassing the suburbs of Bayswater North and Croydon South and parts of the suburbs of Kilsyth, Lilydale and Montrose. The electorate had a population of 52,701 at the 2001 census. Kilsyth was created as a nominally Liberal seat at the 2002 election. It was contested at that election by Liberal MP Lorraine Elliott, whose nearby electorate of Mooroolbark had been abolished in the redistribution. Elliott was not expected to face a serious challenge at the election, but amidst a statewide Labor landslide, was defeated in a major upset by Labor candidate Dympna Beard. Marie Tehan
Marie Therese Tehan (; 19 June 1940 – 31 October 2004) was an Australian politician and lawyer. Educated at Sacré Cœur School, Glen Iris, Victoria, Glen Iris, Melbourne and at the University of Melbourne, Marie O'Brien qualified as a lawyer. She married James "Jim" Tehan in 1963 and settled in regional Victoria. They had six children—including Dan Tehan, the current federal member for Division of Wannon, Wannon, elected in the 2010 Australian federal election, 2010 federal election. She established her own legal practice in Mansfield, Victoria, Mansfield in 1970. Tehan was elected to the Victorian Parliament in 1987 and retired in 1999. Peter Cornelis Spyker (born 7 June 1942) is a Dutch-born Australian politician. He was born in Amersfoort to baker Peter Cornelis Spyker and Cornelia, a factory worker. He emigrated with his family to Australia in 1953, and attended Bentleigh High School and Sandringham Technical School before becoming a fitter and turner. He worked for Freighter Industries from 1959 to 1974 and Dormans Pty Ltd from 1974 to 1979. He joined the Labor Party in 1963 and was secretary of the Cheltenham branch from 1969 to 1979. Steven Marshall Crabb (born 15 January 1943) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Arbroath in Scotland, the son of Steven Crabb, an RAF warrant officer, and Gertrude. Joan Kirner
Joan Elizabeth Kirner (née Hood; 20 June 1938 – 1 June 2015) was an Australian politician who was the 42nd Premier of Victoria, serving from 1990 to 1992. A Labor Party member of the Parliament of Victoria from 1982 to 1994, she was a member of the Legislative Council before later winning a seat in the Legislative Assembly. Kirner was a minister and briefly deputy premier in the government of John Cain Jr., and succeeded him as premier following his resignation. Lynne Janice Kosky (2 September 1958 – 4 December 2014) was an Australian politician and senior minister in the Government of Victoria.
