Lo Kauppi
Lo Marianne Kauppi (born 19 April 1970) is a Swedes, Swedish film and theater actress, director, and television presenter. She suffered from drug addictions and an eating disorder in her early 20s but after undergoing Drug detoxification, treatment recovered and went on to forge a successful career in theater, including performances at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Kauppi has also had several acting roles in Swedish films. Early life Kauppi was born on 19 April 1970 in Skärholmen, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Waino Kauppi
Waino Kauppi (1898 – November 25, 1932) was a musician who played both the cornet and the trumpet. Known as the "Boy Wonder", at age 12 Kauppi was one of the first triple-tonguing cornetists. He played as a cornet soloist for bands like the Edwin McEnelly Orchestra, the Goldman Band and, his own, Waino Kauppi Suomi Orkesteri. He had numerous records to his credit. Early days Waino Kauppi was born in 1898 and was an immigrant from Finland. He grew up in Maynard, Massachusetts, a factory town with a large Finnish immigrant population. He was a child prodigy and, by the age of 12, he became one of the first triple-tonguing cornetists. By 14, he was touring with bands such as Teel's Band of Boston. Piia-Noora Kauppi (born 7 January 1975, in Oulu) is the managing director of the (2008) and a former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) of the European People's Party (1999-2008). Kauppi has a Master of Laws degree. She also studied economics at the Helsinki School of Economics and took some post-graduate studies at Harvard and Yale in the United States. Kirsti Helena Kauppi (born 1957) has been the Finnish ambassador to the United States since January 2015. Prior to that she was in the post of Head of the Political Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs from 1 April 2012 until the end of 2014. Since 2009, she has served as Head of Division for the Department of Foreign Affairs of Africa and the Middle East. Emil Kauppi
Johan Emil Kauppi (28 October 1875 – disappeared 1930) was a Finnish composer. His teachers included Jean Sibelius. Background Kauppi married a woman named Liina Lovisa Lindström in 1908. He wrote two operas. The first, in 1925, was ''Päiväkummun pidot'' (The Feast at Solhaug), which was well received by critics. The second, in 1930, was ''Nummisuutarit'' (The Cobblers on the Heath), which received only poor reviews. In October 1930, shortly after the premiere of ''Nummisuutarit'', he disappeared and is thought to have committed suicide. Minna Kauppi (born 25 November 1982) is a Finnish orienteer, who was born in Asikkala and lives in Lahti. Kauppi is a nine-time World Champion, including five golds from relays. Kuappi () is a restaurant in Iisalmi, Finland. According to ''Guinness World Records'', it is the smallest restaurant in the world. The building has a footprint of , of which is indoors. The building housing the restaurant was constructed in 1907 as a cabin for Finnish State Railways (now VR Group) track inspectors to rest in, and it was later moved from its trackside location to its current place. It was named Korkki for a long time. Inside the building is a bar, a television, one table for two people and a toilet. The interior of the restaurant is fully licensed to serve alcohol and can seat two people in addition to a waiter. There is also a small terrace outdoors. In late May 2020, there was an announcement that because of the COVID-19 restrictions only one customer could enter the restaurant at a time in early summer 2020.
