Katy Parker (table Tennis)
Katy Parker is a female former international table tennis player from England. Table tennis career Parker represented England aged just 12 and in 2001 represented England at the 2001 World Team Table Tennis Championships (Corbillon Cup women's team event) with Helen Lower, Natalie Bawden and Louise Durrant. The following year she was selected by England for the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. She became a coach in 2008. Personal life She is the daughter of former international players Jill Hammersley and Donald Parker. Preston () is a city on the north bank of the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small solid rackets. It takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Table tennis career She represented England at four successive World Table Tennis Championships, from 1997 until 2004, in the Corbillon Cup (women's team event). 2002 Commonwealth Games
The 2002 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XVII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Manchester 2002 were held in Manchester, England, from 25 July to 4 August, 2002.
