Santosh Kumar Roy
Santosh Kumar Roy was an Indian politician from the state of Assam. He was a former Member of Assam Legislative Assembly for Katlicherra. He was the father of Gautam Roy, father in law of Mandira Roy, grandfather of Rahul Roy and grandfather in law of Daisy Roy. Gautam Roy (born 14 November 1948) is a politician of the Hailakandi District of Assam. He was six times MLA from Katlicherra constituency. He was also minister in Hiteswar Saikia and the Tarun Gogoi led Congress ministry several times. Gautam Roy was the vice president of BCCI and also the president of Assam Cricket Association. Currently he is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Early life and education Roy was born on 14 November 1948. His father, the late Santosh Kumar Roy, was a member of Assam Legislative Assembly for Katlicherra from 1972 to 1978. Roy is an arts graduate from S.S. college from the 1969 batch. The All India United Democratic Front (also known as AIUDF and ''Sarva Bharatiya Sanyukt Ganatantric Morcha'') is a political party active in the Indian state of Assam. It is the 3rd largest political party in Assam Legislative Assembly after BJP and Indian National Congress, INC. The 2021 Assam Legislative Assembly election was the 15th quinquennial State legislative assemblies of India, legislative assembly election held in the Indian state of Assam from March 27 to April 6 in three phases, to elect 126 Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), MLAs to the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly.
