Katinka Larsen
Katinka Larsen (9 November 1905 – August 1999) was a female Diving (sport), diver who competed for England. Diving career Larsen competed for England at the 1934 British Empire Games, England in the 3 Metres Springboard at the 1934 British Empire Games in London. She won a silver medal in the 3 Metres Springboard Diving at the 1934 European Aquatics Championships. She also competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics, finishing 13th on the Diving at the 1936 Summer Olympics – Women's 3 metre springboard, 3 metre springboard. Larsen was described in 1937 as being "one of the finest divers in the world". Personal life She married Edward F W Tinsley in March 1937 at Finchley, with the wedding cake decorated with a miniature diving board. Holborn
Holborn ( or ) is a district in central London, which covers the south-eastern part of the London Borough of Camden and a part ( St Andrew Holborn Below the Bars) of the Ward of Farringdon Without in the City of London. The women's 3 metre springboard, also reported as ''springboard diving'', was one of four diving events on the diving at the 1936 Summer Olympics programme. The competition, held on Wednesday 12 August, was split into two sets of dives held on the same day: #Compulsory dives #:Divers performed three pre-chosen dives – a running straight somersault forward, standing header backward with pike, and running straight isander-half gainer. #Facultative dives #:Divers performed three dives of their choice (from different categories and different from the compulsory). Finchley
Finchley () is a large district of north London, England, in the London Borough of Barnet. Finchley is on high ground, north of Charing Cross. Nearby districts include: Golders Green, Muswell Hill, Friern Barnet, Whetstone, Mill Hill and Hendon.
