Katima Mulilo Rural
Katima Mulilo Rural is a constituency in the Zambezi Region of Namibia. It comprises the area south of the town of Katima Mulilo, the regional capital. As of 2020, the constituency had 6,712 registered voters. Politics In the 2004 presidential election, Katima Mulilo Rural voted overwhelmingly for Hifikepunye Pohamba of Swapo party. Pohamba won with 3776 (72%) votes, followed by Ben Ulenga of the Congress of Democrats, who received 480 (9%) votes, Henk Mudge of the Republican Party who received 466 (9%) votes and Katuutire Kaura of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance, who received 386 (7.5%) votes. The 2015 regional election was won by Wardens Matengu Simushi of the SWAPO Party with 1,662 votes, followed by Daniel Sinyemba Sankwasa of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) with 182 votes and Annaberia Nswahu Maswahu of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA) with 149 votes. Republican Party (Namibia)
The Republican Party () is a political party in Namibia. It is based among the white minority. Henk Mudge was its President and its sole representative in the National Assembly. Prior to the 2004 parliamentary election, the Republican Party was part of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA). The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM), formerly the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA), is an amalgamation of political parties in Namibia, registered as one singular party for representation purposes. 2020 Namibian Local And Regional Elections
Local and regional elections were held in Namibia on 25 November 2020 to elect new local and regional councils. The previous round of elections was held in 2015 and won by the ruling SWAPO party. Rally For Democracy And Progress (Namibia)
The Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) is a political party in Namibia. It was launched on 17 November 2007 under the leadership of Hidipo Hamutenya and Jesaya Nyamu, both former leading members of the ruling SWAPO party and cabinet ministers. Hamutenya had unsuccessfully sought the SWAPO nomination for President in 2004. At the time of the RDP's launch, it was considered to represent the strongest challenge to SWAPO's political dominance since the country gained its independence in 1990. The Zambezi Region is one of the 14 regions of Namibia. It is located in the north-eastern part of the country. It is largely concurrent with the major Zambezi River where it gets its name from.
