Katie Lee (lyricist)
Hsia Yu (born December 18, 1956), known by the pen name Katie Lee, is a lyricist. She also uses the pen names Talung Tung and Fei Lee. Lee launched her career as a lyricist alongside her career as poet with the release of her first song “Gau Bie 告別”. Early life Born December 18, 1956, Lee graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts with a film studies degree and had a few part-time jobs in publishing and TV broadcasting companies. She started her contemporary poetry writing at the age of 19. She lived in the Southern France, returned to Taiwan, and since then has been living in both Taipei and Paris. Career Early career The first song Lee wrote was Tai Hsiang Lee's “Gau Bie 告別”. The creation of the song began with an intellectual property dispute between different record companies. Greeny Wu
Wu Qing-feng (; born 1982) , also known as Greeny and credited as Wu Tsing-fong, is a Taiwanese singer-song writer, composer, arranger, and lyricist. Born in Taipei, he is a founding member and the lead vocalist of Oaeen (Sodagreen) and is the major composer and lyricist of the band. Aside from producing the music for the band, he also writes songs for numerous Mandarin singers. Jun Yang (born 1975) () is a Chinese-Austrian contemporary artist who lives and works in Vienna, Taipei, and Yokohama. Biography Jun Yang was born in 1975, in Qingtian, China. When he was four years old, his family immigrated to Europe, intending to reach Belgium but instead settling in Vienna, Austria. Although his mother and father were not professional chefs, they found work in a Chinese restaurant, and later went into the restaurant business for themselves. Yang was continually aware of his outsider status while growing up, first as an immigrant in Austria, then as an Austrian in Europe, and later as a foreign passport-holder in China. The varying cultural contexts in which Yang was born and raised became sources of inspiration for his artistic projects, which focus on issues of identity, biography, social change, language, and authenticity. Jam Hsiao Ching-Teng (, born 30 March 1987) is a Taiwanese singer and actor. At the age of 17, while still in high school, he began working as a restaurant singer. In May 2007, Hsiao took part in the first season of China Television (CTV)'s star search show, ''One Million Star''. He signed a contract with Warner Music Taiwan in 2008 and released his debut album, ''Jam Hsiao (album), Jam Hsiao'', in the same year. In 2011, Hsiao played the lead role in the action film ''The Killer Who Never Kills'' and won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best New Performer for his performance. A lyricist is a songwriter who writes lyrics (the spoken words), as opposed to a composer, who writes the song's music which may include but not limited to the melody, harmony, arrangement and accompaniment. Royalties A lyricist's income derives from royalties received from original songs. Royalties may range from 50 per cent of the song if it was written primarily with the composer, or less if they wrote the song in collaboration. Cheer Chen Chi-chen (; born 6 June 1975) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter. Her most recent album, ''Sofa Sea'', was released in 2018. Early life Chen was born on 6 June 1975 in Taipei. Her mother supported her interest in music from an early age. Chen is an alumna of Taipei Municipal Jingmei Girls' Senior High School (臺北市立景美女子高級中學) and National Chengchi University (國立政治大學).
