Kathy McCormack
Katheryn McCormack (born February 16, 1974) was a member of the 1998 Canadian Olympic women's team that participated in ice hockey at the 1998 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal. She played with the Canadian National team from 1997 to 2001. Playing career At the age of eight, McCormack started playing hockey on boys teams. The first time that she played on a team consisting of girls was at the 1991 Canada Winter Games for New Brunswick. She was a Team Canada member at the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1993 in San Antonio, Texas At the 1995 Canadian championships, McCormack played with the New Brunswick provincial team and won a silver medal. The following year, she would win a bronze medal at the Canadian championships. In 1996, she joined the Maritimes Sports Blades. Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice going from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. Blackville is a community, formerly an incorporated village, in Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada. It is located on the Southwest Miramichi River approximately southwest of Miramichi. Stacy Eleanor Wilson (born May 12, 1965) is a former captain of the Canadian national women's hockey team, former assistant coach, author and the former head coach of the Bowdoin College women's ice hockey team. Early life She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, on May 12, 1965, to Trueman Townsend Wilson and Elizabeth Ann Wilson (née Beckwith).
