Kathy Ahern
Kathy Ahern (May 7, 1949 – July 6, 1996) was an American professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. Career Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ahern was raised in Dallas, Texas, and won the Texas women's public links title at age 15 She joined the LPGA Tour direct from high school in 1967 and won three events, including one major title, the LPGA Championship Ahern's first win came at the Southgate Ladies Open in August and the last at George Washington Classic in She was also a runner-up at the U.S. Women's Open in 1972, the week before her final win. Sherri Turner (born October 4, 1956) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1984 and won three LPGA Tour events, including one major championship, during her career. Amateur career Turner was born in Greenville, South Carolina. She started playing golf at the age of 4. She was the 1974-75 Carolinas Junior champion. She attended Furman University, where she was a medalist at three tournaments, including the Women's Southern Intercollegiate. She was selected to the All-American Team in 1979. Professional career Always one of the longest hitters on Tour, Turner joined the LPGA Tour in 1984. She won three events on the tour, including one major, the 1988 Mazda LPGA Championship. Sandra Jane Haynie (born June 4, 1943) is an American former professional golfer on the LPGA Tour starting in 1961. She won four major championships, 42 LPGA Tour career events, and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Amateur career Haynie was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She won the 1957-58 Texas State Publinx and the 1958-59 Texas Amateur. She also captured the 1960 Trans-Mississippi title. Barbara Jane Blalock (born September 19, 1945) is an American business executive and retired professional golfer. After winning several New England golf tournaments in her youth, Blalock joined the LPGA Tour as a professional in 1969, being named LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 1969 and Most Improved Golfer in 1970 and 1971. Judy Rankin ( Torluemke; born February 18, 1945) is an American professional golfer and golf broadcaster. A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, she joined the LPGA Tour in 1962 at age 17 and won 26 tour events. Since 2010, Rankin has served as the lead analyst for LPGA Tour telecasts on the Golf Channel. She previously served as an expert analyst for golf coverage on ESPN/ABC.
