Kathryn Hach-Darrow
Kathryn "Kitty" Hach-Darrow (October 20, 1922 – June 4, 2020) was an American businesswoman and philanthropist who co-founded the Hach Chemical Company in 1947 with her first husband Clifford C. Hach (pronounced hɑ:k). She was essential to the company's expansion, flying her own plane to small airfields across the country to sell water purification kits. She became president, chief operating officer, and CEO of the Hach company. Kathryn Hach-Darrow was also the first woman director of the American Water Works Association, an international non-profit working for better water quality. She has been noted for philanthropic work as well as her entrepreneurial success, and has received a number of awards and honors as a result of her contributions to both business and chemistry. Bucklin, Missouri
Bucklin is a city in southeast Linn County, Missouri, Linn County, Missouri, United States. The population was 413 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. History Bucklin was laid out in 1854, and named after James H. Bucklin, a railroad official of the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad. A post office called Bucklin has been in operation since 1860. Bucklin was the 1st location of the (1st) Missouri Farmers Association (now called Midwest Farmers Association, more known by the initials of MFA Incorporated, MFA). The building still stands here today abandoned. Geography Bucklin is located on Missouri Route 129 approximately 5.5 miles northeast of Marceline, Missouri, Marceline. The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a scientific society based in the United States that supports scientific inquiry in the field of chemistry. Northwood University
Northwood University (NU) is a private university focused on business education with its main campus in Midland, Michigan. Opened in 1959, more than 33,000 people have graduated from the institution. History Northwood University opened as Northwood Institute in 1959 by Arthur E. Turner and R. Gary Stauffer. One hundred students enrolled at the new school, which was initially located in a 19th-century mansion in Alma, Michigan. Northwood Institute moved to Midland, Michigan, in 1961. The Jesuits operated a seminary known as ''West Baden College'' at the former West Baden Springs Hotel, in Orange County, Indiana, from 1934 until June 1964, when declining enrollment forced the closure of the facility.
