''Kathir'' () is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Dhinesh Palanivel and produced by Dhuvaraga Studios. The film stars Venkatesh, Santhosh Prathap, Bhavya Trikha and Rajini Chandy. The film's music is composed by Prashant Pillai, with cinematography handled by Jayanth Sethu Mathavan and editing done by Deepak S. Dwaraknath. The film released in theatres on 29 April 2022. Plot Kathir revolves around two people – an unemployed engineering graduate and an old woman with an inspiring past. How their lives get influenced by each other forms the crux of the film. Cast Soundtrack The soundtrack and score is composed by Prashant Pillai and the album featured three songs. The audio rights were acquired by Think Music. Santhosh Prathap is an Indian actor working in the Tamil film industry, his feature film debut was in the lead role ''Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam'' (2014). Pushpavanam Kuppusamy
Pushpavanam Kuppusamy is a Tamil folk singer, lyricist, writer and music composer of Tamil folk art. He has been credited for reviving the Naatupura Paatu a Tamil folk art. Together with his wife Anitha Kuppusamy, he has conducted several music concerts of Tamil folk songs. Kuppuswamy is also a playback singer. The couple have together brought out several albums of authentic Tamil folk music. He has also written books on Tamil Folk songs. He appears on Television Channels like Sun TV, Vijay TV, and Makkal TV performing musical shows. He is a recipient of Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. ''Ananda Vikatan'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. History and profile ''Ananda Vikatan'' was started by Late Pudhoor Vaidyanadhaiyar in February 1926 as a monthly publication. The issue for December 1927 was not published due to financial difficulties. In January 1928 Subramaniam Srinivasan bought the rights from Vaidyanadhaiyer and relaunched the publication from February 1928 in a new format He paid at the rate of ₹25 per alphabet in the Tamil language name (ஆனந்த விகடன்) of the publication to buy the rights. ''Cinema Express'' was an Indian Tamil-language entertainment fortnightly magazine published from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
