Katherine Karađorđević
Katherine Karađorđević ( Serbian: Катарина Карађорђевић; née Batis, gr, Μπατής; born 13 November 1943 in Athens), is the wife of Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia, the pretender to the throne of the defunct Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Biography Katherine is one of the two daughters of Robert Batis (1916–2011) and Anna Dosti (1922–2010). She was educated in Athens and in Lausanne, Switzerland. She studied business at the University of Denver and the University of Dallas. She worked in business for several years in the United States. On 25 November 1962, Katherine married Jack Walter Andrews (1933–2013). They divorced in 1984. Her son and grandson are godchildren of former President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos. She met her second husband, Alexander, in Washington DC in 1984, and they were married in London, civilly on 20 September 1985 and religiously the next day at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, Notting Hill. The wedding of Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, and Daniel Westling took place on 2010 in Stockholm Cathedral. Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia ( sr-cyr, Томислав Карађорђевић, Tomislav Karađorđević; 19 January 1928 – 12 July 2000) was a member of the House of Karađorđević, the second son of King Alexander I and Queen Maria of Yugoslavia. He was a younger brother of King Peter II of Yugoslavia and a former nephew-in-law to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Early life and education Prince Tomislav was born on 19 January 1928, on Epiphany according to the Julian calendar used by the Serbian Orthodox Church, at 1 am, as the second son of the sovereign of the then Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later the Kingdom of Yugoslavia), Alexander I (1888–1934) and Queen Maria (1900–1961), the second daughter of King Ferdinand of Romania (1865–1927) and his wife Queen Marie (1875–1938).
