is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Katagiri was born in Gifu on August 1, 1983. After graduating from high school, he joined J1 League club Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2002. Although he debuted in first season, he could hardly play in the match. In 2004, he was loaned to Argentine club Rosario Central and Quilmes. Although he returned to Grampus in 2005, he could not play at all in the match. In July 2005, he moved to Japan Football League (JFL) club FC Horikoshi and played many matches. In 2006, he moved to his local club FC Gifu in Regional Leagues. He became a regular player and scored many goals. FC Gifu was promoted to JFL in 2007 and J2 League in 2008. Dainin Katagiri
Jikai , was a Sōtō Zen priest and teacher, and the founding abbot of Minnesota Zen Meditation Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he served from 1972 until his death from cancer in 1990. He is also the founder of Hokyoji Zen Practice Community in Eitzen, Minnesota. Before becoming first abbot of the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center, Katagiri had worked at the Zenshuji Soto Zen Mission in Los Angeles and had also been of great service to Shunryu Suzuki at the San Francisco Zen Center, particularly from 1969 until Suzuki's death in 1971. Katagiri was important in helping bring Zen Buddhism from Japan to the United States during its formative years. He is also the credited author of several books compiled from his talks. Katagiri Katsumoto
was a Japanese warlord (''daimyō'') of Ibaraki, in the Azuchi–Momoyama period through early Edo period. In his youth was famed as one of the Seven Spears of Shizugatake, during the Battle of Shizugatake in May 1583. Biography Katsumoto hailed from an ancient samurai clan with a long and distinguished history. In the early Heian period, Katagiri clan served the Minamoto family, traditional head of the samurai that supplied early ''shōguns'' and their government, and ruled the southernmost part of Shinano region for nearly 500 years. Despite his lineage and the promising start at Battle of Shizugatake, Katsumoto's rise under Toyotomi Hideyoshi was relatively slow compared to his fellow "seven spears", which included Katō Kiyomasa and Fukushima Masanori. Mineo Katagiri (August 1, 1919 – November 15, 2005) was a Japanese-American social activist for racial equality, and a minister for the United Church of Christ. Early life Katagiri was born in Haleiwa, Hawaii on August 1, 1919. As a student at the University of Hawaii he was elected president of the university YMCA. He graduated in 1941 and went on to earn a degree in theology from the Union Theological Seminary in 1944. Career After he graduated, Katagiri worked with labor union leaders to unite white, black, and Japanese American workers at Seabrook Farms, where Japanese Americans who were released from internment camps worked while they were transitioning back into society.
