Kat Hoyos
Kat Hoyos (born 1990) is an Australian actress. She is best known for her role in the television series ''Here Come The Habibs''. She has also appeared in ''Body in the Yard'' and was also cast in the short film ''The Road Home''. Biography Hoyos was born to a single mother who moved to Australia from Colombia in the mid 1990s. She attended Mary Mackillop College before moving to Cronulla. Hoyos completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Theatre) from the University of Wollongong. Stage and television Hoyos was featured in professional stage roles in the Australian productions of ''Jersey Boys'', ''Hairspray'', ''Bring It On'', ''Xanadu'', and ''Fame''. Her onscreen credits include ''Here Come the Habibs'', ''Body in the Yard'' and short film ''The Road Home''. She has been featured in TV commercials for Bonds, the RTA, Pepsi Max, and McDonald's, amongst others. ''Here Come the Habibs'' is an Australian television comedy series produced by Jungle Entertainment. A sitcom featuring a Lebanese Australian family who win the lottery and move to the posh eastern suburbs of Sydney, the show premiered on the Nine Network in Australia on 9 February 2016. Despite arousing some controversy as to whether it portrayed racist or stereotyped characters, it was successful, and the series was renewed for a second season, airing from 5 June 2017. Nine program director Hamish Turner confirmed early in 2018 that the show would not be returning for a third season. ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' was a long-running variety television program on Australian television. It initially ran for 28 years on the Nine Network from 9 October 1971 to 20 November 1999, with a recess in 1978. Its host throughout its entire run was Daryl Somers, who later also became executive producer of the program. The original producer, Gavan Disney, left the program in the 1980s and Somers then jointly formed his own production company, Somers Carroll Productions, with comedy writer and on-screen partner Ernie Carroll, the performer of Somers' pink ostrich puppet sidekick Ossie Ostrich. On 25 July 2009, the Nine Network announced the show would return for two reunion specials in late 2009 and hinted if they rated strongly, the show could return full-time.
