''Kasthooriman'' () is a 2003 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama film written and directed by A. K. Lohithadas. The film shows the relationship developed between Sajan Joseph Alukka (Kunchako Boban) and Priyamvada (Meera Jasmine). Lohithadas remade this film in Tamil under the same title. Plot Sajan Joseph Alukka (Kunchako Boban) is a soft-spoken and studious young man, while his junior Priyamvada (Meera Jasmine) is smart and outgoing. Her close friend is in love with Sajan, but he avoids her by saying that his only ambition in life is to study hard and become an IAS officer. But Priya follows him and digs out the truth that though he hails from a rich family, his father has now gone bankrupt and has no money even to pay the exam fee. Meera Jasmine
Jasmine Mary Joseph, known professionally as Meera Jasmine, is an Indian actress who appears primarily in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films. Meera Jasmine won the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2004 for her role in '' Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam'', and is a two-time recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award. Kunchako Boban
Kunchacko Boban (born 2 November 1976) is an Indian actor and film producer. Sometimes referred to as Chackochan, he works in the Malayalam film industry and has acted in more than 90 films in more than two decades. He is a member of the Kunchacko family. Kunchacko's debut was as a child in the film '' Dhanya'' (1981) produced by his father Boban Kunchacko. The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs.
