Kassa (mansa)
Qasa ( ar, قسا, Qasā; ) was a short-lived mansa of the Mali Empire. He succeeded his father, Sulayman, and reigned for only nine months. A civil war broke out after Sulayman's death, which Sulayman's great-nephew Jata won by late 1360. Charles Monteil suggested that Qasa was the son of Sulayman's first principal wife, Qasa, due to the practice of matronymics A matronymic is a personal name based on the given name of one's mother, grandmother, or any female ancestor. It is the female equivalent of a patronymic. Around the world, matronymic surnames are far less common than patronymic surnames. In som .... Nehemia Levtzion considered this unlikely, as a matronymic name would combine the name of the mother and name of the son, as in Kanku Musa, "Musa son of Kanku", rather than being the name of the mother alone, and furthermore, ''qasā'' means "queen" and was probably the title of Sulayman's wife, not her personal name. Moreover, the name of Mansa Qasa is also recorded ...

Kassa Of Kwara
, spoken = ; ''djānhoi'', lit. ''"O steemedroyal"'' , alternative = ; ''getochu'', lit. ''"Our master"'' (pl.) Tewodros II ( gez, ዳግማዊ ቴዎድሮስ, baptized as Gebre Kidan; 1818 – 13 April 1868) was Emperor of Ethiopia from 1855 until his death in 1868. His rule is often placed as the beginning of modern Ethiopia and brought an end to the decentralized Zemene Mesafint (Era of the Princes). Tewodros II's origins were in the Era of the Princes, but his ambitions were not those of the regional nobility. He sought to re-establish a cohesive Ethiopian state and to reform its administration and church. He sought to restore Solomonic hegemony, and he considered himself the Elect of God. Tewodros II's first task after having reunited the other provinces was to bring Shewa under his control. During the Era of the Princes, Shewa was, even more than most provinces, an independent entity, its ruler even styling himself Negus (Neguece), the title for King. In the ...

Bombing Of Kassa
The bombing of Kassa took place on 26 June 1941, when still unidentified aircraft conducted an airstrike on the city of Kassa, then part of Hungary, today Košice in Slovakia. This attack became the pretext for the government of Hungary to declare war on the Soviet Union the next day, 27 June.
