Kashmir Premier League (India)
The Kashmir Premier League (KPL) is a Twenty20 cricket league in Jammu and Kashmir The league was started in 2011 by the Indian Army and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The Army sponsors the teams, and provides cricket kits and refreshments. The purpose of the Kashmir Premier League is to build bridges between Kashmiris and Indian Army men. The league is the brainchild of Group Officer Commanding (GOC) of XV Corps, Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain. The T20 cricket tournament is part of the Indian Army's Operation Sadhbhavana. In the initial editions of KPL, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Budgam districts fielded two teams each while as Kupwara, Bandipora, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian and Ganderbal fielded one team each in League Stage. The teams played 50 matches over a span of 41 days. The winner of the tournament will get while the runners-up gets 3 lakh. The team which finishes third place gets 2 lakh. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (; born 7 July 1981) is an Indian former international cricketer who was captain of the Indian national cricket team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2017 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. Cricket Leagues In India
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). The Maulana Azad Stadium (also spelled ''Molana Azad Stadium'') is a stadium in Jammu and is one of the home venues for the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team. It is located on the banks of the Tawi River Cricket Maulana Azad Stadium has hosted home games for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic tournaments since 1966. Yusuf Pathan
Yusuf Pathan (born 17 November 1982) is an Indian former cricketer. Pathan made his debut in first-class cricket in 2001/02. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. His younger brother, Irfan Pathan was also an Indian cricketer. Pathan retired from all forms of cricket in February 2021. Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium is a cricket stadium located in Srinagar, India. It is home to the JKCA and Jammu and Kashmir cricket team which represents the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy and other domestic tournaments in the country.
