Kashmakash (album)
''Kashmakash'' (, literal English translation: "dilemma") is the first compilation album and third overall album of the Pakistani rock band, Junoon. It is said to be the first compilation album by a pop band in Pakistan. Junoon was taken to court for the controversy generated by the video for "Ehtesaab", which included footage of a polo pony eating in a posh restaurant. Many thought the image was an indictment of the corrupt Pakistani political elite, and especially of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Kashmakash (1973 Film)
''Kashmakash'' is a 1973 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Feroze Chinoy, starring Feroz Khan, Rekha, Shatrughan Sinha, Asha Sachdev, along with Ranjeet, Rehman, I. S. Johar, Padma Khanna. Loosely based on James Hadley Chase's novel Tiger by the Tail. Plot Satish Gupta and Seeta are a happily married couple till one day, on the insistence of his friend ManMohan, Satish visits Sapna for an illicit rendezvous at her hotel where she performs as a cabaret artist, and there he sees her in her bathtub, from wherein she leads him to her bed. Before anything can happen, Sapna is ruthlessly murdered in the dark with a knife. Satish rushes out of her room, but is caught red handed on the stairs, by a private detective I. S. Noukadubi (2011 Film)
''Noukadubi'' ( bn, নৌকাডুবি, "Boat wreck") is a Bengali film directed by Rituparno Ghosh, released in January 2011. The movie is a period film set in the 1920s, based on a 1906 novel with the same name by Rabindranath Tagore, although the credits claim that the film is 'inspired' by the Tagore novel because Rituparno Ghosh has taken the skeleton of the original story and woven it with his own inputs – cerebral and emotional. The cast includes Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Raima Sen and Riya Sen. The art direction was by Indranil Ghosh. The film was also dubbed in Hindi and released in May 2011 under the name "Kashmakash". The film was produced by Subhash Ghai. Allegedly the Hindi version has been translated, dubbed and edited down by 30 minutes under Ghai's own guidance, without the director's involvement at all.
