Kashif Ahmad
Kashif Ahmad (born 1980) is a Pakistan, Pakistani-Denmark, Danish politician and former member of the municipal council in Hvidovre Municipality. He founded the National Party (Denmark), National Party with his brothers Aamer and Asif Ahmad. In 2005, the three brothers arranged a charity concert for the victims of the 2005 Kashmir earthquake. The concert gathered 1.1 million DKK for the victims. In January 2019, Kashif Ahmad left the National Party in favour of The Alternative (Denmark), Alternativet. He was succeeded as party leader by his brother Asif Ahmad (Danish politician), Asif. Hvidovre Municipality
Hvidovre Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden near Copenhagen on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 22 km2, and has a total population of 53,416 (1 January 2019). Its mayor is Anders Wolf Andresen, a member of the Green Left (''Socialistisk Folkeparti'') political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Hvidovre. National Party (Denmark)
The National Party ( da, Nationalpartiet) is a center-left political party in Denmark. It was formed in 2014 by three Danish-Pakistani brothers in opposition to the right wing parties in Denmark. History The party was founded in 2014 by Kashif Ahmad, Aamer Ahmad, and Asif Ahmad. Kashif Ahmad was a member of the municipal council in Hvidovre Municipality when the party was founded, thus giving the party a seat. It did not manage to run for the 2015 election, but several of the individual members ran as independents, including Yahya Hassan. In April 2016, the party claimed to have gathered enough signatures to run for the next general election. However, a new digital system of gathering signatures had been implemented by the Ministry of the Interior and of Social Affairs, and problems with this system made many of the National Party's signatures ineligible. 2005 Kashmir Earthquake
The 2005 Kashmir earthquake occurred at on 8 October in Pakistani-administered Azad Kashmir. It was centred near the city of Muzaffarabad, and also affected nearby Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and some areas of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. It registered a moment magnitude of 7.6 and had a maximum Mercalli intensity of XI (''Extreme''). The earthquake was also felt in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, India, and the Xinjiang region. The severity of the damage caused by the earthquake is attributed to severe upthrust. Over 86,000 people died, a similar number were injured, and millions were displaced. The Alternative (Denmark)
The Alternative ( da, Alternativet) is a green political party in Denmark. The party was publicly launched on 27 November 2013 by former Minister of Culture Uffe Elbæk and Josephine Fock; Elbæk had been a parliamentarian for the Social Liberal Party. Elbæk was the leader of the party until February 2020, where he stepped down and was succeeded by Fock. Currently the party is led by Franciska Rosenkilde. It collaborates with DiEM25 at the European level. Asif Ahmad (Danish Politician)
Asif Ahmad ( bn, আসিফ আনোয়ার আহমেদ; born 21 January 1956) is a banker-turned-diplomat, having served as a Senior Civil Servant at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. From 2017 to August 2021 he was the British High Commissioner to Jamaica. He was the British Ambassador to Thailand from November 2010 until August 2012. He was the British Ambassador to the Philippines from July 2013 to 2017. He has also been accredited to the Bahamas, Palau and Laos. Early life Ahmad was born on 21 January 1956 in London, England.
