Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü (English: Karşıyaka Sports Club) also known as Karşıyaka is a Turkish sports club located in Karşıyaka, Izmir. Founded in 1912, they are Izmir's oldest club. Like all others in Turkey; the "SK" suffix refers to ''sports club'', as besides football the club has sports branches in Karşıyaka Basket, basketball, Karşıyaka Women's Volleyball Team, volleyball, handball, tennis, Swimming (sport), swimming, sailing (sport), sailing, billiards, and bowling. The club's football team currently competes in the TFF Third League, the fourth tier of the Turkish football league system. The basketball team currently competes in the Turkish Basketball League and the women's volleyball team in the Turkish Women's Second League. Alsancak Stadium
The Alsancak Mustafa Denizli Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in İzmir, Turkey used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 and was built in 1929. In 1959 it hosted Turkey's first-ever premiere league game. The stadium is owned by Ministry of Youth and Sports (Turkey). Due to safety concerns during a potential earthquake, the stadium was demolished in July 2015. It was rebuilt between 2017-2021. Opened on 26 November 2021. The name of the stadium was given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in honor of Turkish football player and coach Mustafa Denizli. Karşıyaka () is a district of İzmir Province in Turkey. The district extends for twelve kilometres along the northern and eastern coastline of the tip of the Gulf of İzmir. Its centre is at a distance of to the north from the traditional centre of İzmir, which is Konak Square in Konak at the opposite coast. Karşıyaka's district area neighbours the district areas of Menemen to the north, Bornova to the east and Çiğli to the west. The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called ''Türk Telekom Lig A'' in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to ''TFF First League'' prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1.
