Kartavya (organization)
Kartavya () is an Indian national nonprofit organization. It is run by college students and alumni. It aims to educate "poverty stricken" and "slum dwelling" students. Its mission is to eradicate illiteracy from society. Kartavya has increased to 12 chapters across India. Kartavya also provides employment to people through recruitment directed at college students looking to teach. Vocational training currently provides training to about 150 people. In terms of women empowerment efforts, currently 65 women are being taught. History Kartavya was founded by a 1999 cohort of students of Indian School of Mines, IIT ISM Dhanbad led by Amresh Mishra, who is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. ''Kartavya'' (English: ''Duty'') is a 1995 Indian action film directed by Raj Kanwar, starring Sanjay Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. Divya Bharti was chosen as the female lead, she completed some 30 percent of the movie, but due to her sudden death she was replaced by Juhi. Rediff.com found the film "embarrassing". Synopsis Karan and Kajal are in love and ready to settle down and lead a happy life. But tragedy strikes as Karan's mother has a heart attack and before she dies, Karan discovers that she wasn't his real mother. He is told that his actual mother is an heiress, Gayatri Singh, who lives in Sundernagar. Kartavya Path
Rajpath, officially named Kartavya Path, and formerly known as Kingsway, is a ceremonial boulevard in New Delhi, India, that runs from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Raisina Hill through Vijay Chowk and India Gate, National War Memorial to National Stadium, Delhi. The avenue is lined on both sides by huge lawns, canals and rows of trees. Considered to be one of the most important roads in India, it is where the annual Republic Day parade takes place on 26 January. Janpath (meaning "People's Way") crosses the road. Rajpath runs in east-west direction. Roads from Connaught Place, the financial centre of Delhi, run into Rajpath from north. After climbing Raisina Hill, Rajpath is flanked by the North and South Blocks of the Secretariat Building. Finally it ends at the gates of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
