Karol Szreter
Karol Szreter (29 September 1898 – 20 March 1933) was a Polish classical pianist. Life Born in Łódź, Szreter began his musical career as a child prodigy; at the age of nine he made his first public appearance in his native Poland. At the age of 13, he received a scholarship to study at the Petersburg Conservatory, where he remained until the outbreak of the First World War. Szreter then continued his studies in Berlin with Egon Petri. After the end of the war he began to perform in Central and Eastern Europe. At the beginning of the 1920s he made his first recordings for the German label ''Vox''; around 1925 he began his collaboration with the German branch of the Parlophone label; mostly popular numbers were created, mostly accompanied by a studio orchestra. In 1925 he appeared in a trio with the cellist Emanuel Feuermann and the violinist Boris Kroyt at the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin and at the Klindworth-Scharwenka-Konservatorium. Vossische Zeitung
The (''Voss's Newspaper'') was a nationally-known Berlin newspaper that represented the interests of the liberal middle class. It was also generally regarded as Germany's national newspaper of record. In the Berlin press it held a special role due to the fact that by way of its direct predecessors it was the oldest newspaper in the city. The name went back to Christian Friedrich Voss, who was its owner from 1751 to 1795, but became its official name only after 1911. It ceased publication in 1934 under pressure from the Nazi state. Hans Bund, also Jack Bund, (15 August 1898 – 1 February 1982) was a German pianist, conductor, composer and arranger in the field of light music. Life Born in Neunkirchen (Saarland), Bund received his first piano lessons from his father, who was a music teacher in Saarbrücken. He then studied piano and organ at the with Elly Ney and at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt.
