Avinash Karn
Avinash Karn ( ne, अविनाश कर्ण) (born 4 February 1995) is a Nepalese professional cricketer. Karn is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his debut for Nepal against Afghanistan in August 2013. He represents the Nepal Army Club of the National League, Colors X-Factors of the Nepal Premier League and Sunrise Higher Secondary School, which plays in the SPA Cup. Playing career Avinash is the second Nepalese bowler after Mehboob Alam to pick up all 10 wickets in a limited overs match. He single-handedly bowled out Baitadi in the U-19 National Cricket Tournament by picking up all 10 wickets for 24 runs in 6.1 overs. He also represented Nepal Under-19s in the 2013 ACC Under-19 Elite Cup in May 2013. Esther Nelson Karn
Esther Nelson Karn (August 1860 – April 13, 1936) was an American poet and business owner, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Early life Esther (or Hester) Nelson was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and raised in DeKalb County, Indiana, the daughter of Hugh Nelson and Lucinda Davis Nelson. She trained to teach at Hicksville High School. She also attended courses at the Detroit School of Journalism and the De Silva School of Oratory in Fort Wayne. Career Nelson taught briefly before she married. After she married, she worked as a bookkeeper, and wrote poetry. "The authoress is thoroughly conversant with the ways of nature and has the pleasing faculty of creating within the reader a mood essential to the fullest enjoyment of her theme," according to one reviewer in 1925. Andonis Michaelides (Greek: Αντώνης Μιχαηλίδης; 24 July 1958 – 4 January 2011), better known as Mick Karn, was an English-Cypriot musician and songwriter who rose to fame as the bassist for the art rock/ new wave band Japan. His distinctive fretless bass guitar sound and melodic playing style were a trademark of the band's sound. Early life Karn was born Andonis Michaelides in Nicosia on 24 July 1958. When he was three, his Greek-Cypriot parents moved with him to London, where he was raised. In his youth he began playing mouth organ at the age of seven and violin at the age of eleven, before he took up playing bassoon for the school orchestra. Phil Karn (born October 4, 1956) is a retired American engineer from Lutherville, Maryland. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University in 1978 and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1979. From 1979 until 1984, Karn worked at Bell Labs in Naperville, Illinois, and Murray Hill, New Jersey. From 1984 until 1991, he was with Bell Communications Research in Morristown, New Jersey. From 1991 through to his retirement, he worked at Qualcomm in San Diego, where he specialized in wireless data networking protocols, security, and cryptography. Phil Karn is a retired American soccer player who played professionally in the USL A-League. In 1994, Karn graduated from Abington High School. In 1994, Karn began his collegiate career at Drexel University. He transferred to Penn State University in 1996. In 1998, Karn turned professional with Reading Rage of the USISL D-3 Pro League, earning Second Team All League. His fourteen goals that season led to his moving up to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL A-League. Karn spent four seasons with the Riverhounds, then returned to Reading for the 2003 season. In February 2001, the Columbus Crew selected Karn in the sixth round (63rd overall), but was released on March 19, 2001. He is the assistant youth director for the Philadelphia Union.
