Karl Roy
Karl Roy (May 25, 1968 – March 13, 2012) was a Filipino rock singer. He was the lead singer of the groups Advent Call, Kapatid and P.O.T. Early life Karl Roy was the elder brother of Kevin Roy, the lead singer of the band Razorback, and the first cousin of Jose "Judd" Roy III, one of the defense lawyers of the impeachment trial of Philippine Chief Justice Renato Corona. Roy's other siblings are Ralph, Keith, Krys and Kathryn. His aunt was Vilma Roy-Duavit, the wife of GMA Network founder and former Representative from Rizal's 1st District Gilberto Duavit Sr., which makes him cousins with GMA Network president Gilberto Duavit Jr. His late grandfather, Jose Roy, was a Senator in the Philippines. Kapatid (band)
Kapatid was a Filipino rock supergroup fronted by Karl Roy, the brother of Kevin Roy of Razorback. He was also the vocalist of bands Advent Call and P.O.T. The band was originally composed of Nathan Azarcon (of Rivermaya, Bamboo and Hijo) on bass, J-Hoon Balbuena (of Kjwan) on drums, Ira Cruz (of Passage, Bamboo and Hijo) on rhythm guitar and the late Chico Molina on lead guitar. The band was managed by Pam Lunar. They went on to release their first self-titled LP with hit songs "Prayer", "Pagbabalik ng Kwago", and "Visions" among others, in 2003. Tau Gamma Phi (), also known as 'Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity', is a fraternity established in the Philippines. Its members call themselves Triskelion. Its aims are to see a Fraternity System devoid of violence in lieu of the rampant violence pervading the university campus at the time of its founding, to avoid elitism if they can, and to earnestly propagate their fraternity's principles as their way of life without political influence or pressure. Pulmonary Edema
Pulmonary edema, also known as pulmonary congestion, is excessive edema, liquid accumulation in the parenchyma, tissue and pulmonary alveolus, air spaces (usually alveoli) of the lungs. It leads to impaired gas exchange and may cause hypoxemia and respiratory failure. It is due to either failure of the left ventricle of the heart to remove oxygenated blood adequately from the pulmonary circulation (cardiogenic pulmonary edema), or an injury to the lung parenchyma, lung tissue directly or blood vessels of the lung (non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema). Cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. It is a medical emergency that, without immediate medical intervention, will result in sudden cardiac death within minutes. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and possibly defibrillation are needed until further treatment can be provided. Cardiac arrest results in a rapid loss of consciousness, and breathing may be abnormal or absent.
