Karl Müller (22 August 1866 – 23 October 1942) was born in Franzensbad (Czech: FrantiÅ¡kovy LáznÄ›), Bohemia, Austrian Empire and died in Vienna, Austria. Karl Müller (born 1952 in Roggwil TG) is a Swiss engineer and businessman. He is the creator of the Masai Barefoot Technology brand of rocker bottom shoe A rocker sole shoe or rocker bottom shoe is a shoe which has a thicker-than-normal sole with rounded heel. Such shoes ensure the wearer does not have flat footing along the proximal-distal axis of the foot. The shoes are generically known by a var ...s, and holds a patent on his design. Karl Otfried Müller ( la, Carolus Mullerus; 28 August 1797 – 1 August 1840) was a German scholar and Philodorian, or admirer of ancient Sparta, who introduced the modern study of Greek mythology. Biography He was born at Brieg (modern Brzeg) in Silesia, then in the Kingdom of Prussia. His father was a chaplain in the Prussian army, and he was raised in the atmosphere of Protestant Pietism. He attended the gymnasium of his town. His university education was partly in Breslau (now Wrocław) and partly in Berlin. In Berlin, he was spurred towards the study of Greek literature, art and history by the influence of Philipp August Böckh.
