Karl Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke GmbH was a German vehicle manufacturer in Ulm. Its products were buses, Coach (bus), coaches, vehicle transporters, Trailer (vehicle), trailers and special vehicles like Snow grooming, snow groomer vehicles. The group broke up in 1995 due to economic problems and was acquired by Daimler AG, which continues to produce under the brand name Setra. History In 1893, Karl Heinrich Kässbohrer, Karl Kässbohrer founded the Wagenfabrik Kässbohrer in Ulm. In 1922, Kässbohrer developed a trailer for goods transport, having solid rubber wheels. When Karl Kässbohrer senior died in 1922, his sons, Karl Kässbohrer, Karl junior and Otto Kässbohrer, took over the company and began to produce the first 2x4 axle trailers. Chavdar (company)
Chavdar ( bg, Чавдар) was a Bulgarian bus builder located in the town of Botevgrad, Sofia Province. Founded by Racho Dzhambov in 1924, the company that would later become "Chavdar" produced around 200 buses between 1927 and 1947 on chassis from Ford Motor Company, Mercedes-Benz and Dodge. In 1948 the company was nationalised and acquired the name "Chavdar" in honour of the revolutionary Chavdar Voyvoda. It produced buses on chassis of Skoda 706 RTO but later shifted to license production of Setra and Steyr buses. It also developed several models on its own, which had good commercial success.
