Karine Ferri (born 25 April 1982) is a French television presenter and model. Early life and education Karine Ferri was born Karine Jalabert in Suresnes in the department of Hauts-de-Seine, to a French father and a Portuguese mother. She grew up in Rueil-Malmaison with her older brother David. After obtaining her high school final exam and studying modern literature at university, she started a modeling career. In 1999, she was elected first runner-up of Miss World France 2000, Sandra Lou. W9 () is a French television network available through digital terrestrial television Télévision Numérique Terrestre, TNT, Satellite television, satellite and Internet television, ADSL. It is a subsidiary of the Groupe M6; the name W9 has been selected for the channel because "W9" is a mirror writing, mirror written equivalent of "M6", and as it was the nation's ninth broadcast network. History The name W9 was invented by Les Inconnus in the early 90s with a sketch that spoofed M6's music programming at the time, with the logo being a rotated version of M6's. TMC (; originally short for Télé Monte-Carlo) is a Franco– Monégasque general entertainment television channel, owned by the French media holding company Groupe TF1. Direct 8 was a national French TV channel, owned by Vincent Bolloré. It was available through digital terrestrial television network "TNT" and the Astra 1H satellite position. As the name suggests ('direct' is French for 'live'), Direct 8 was originally intended to broadcast live shows only (except during night times and holiday seasons). This is no longer the case. Jérôme Finkelstejn better known as Jérôme Anthony is a French television presenter. Born in Nancy, France on 11 November 1968, he has presented many entertainment and reality shows on RTL9, TF1, France 2, Disney Channel, W9 and M6. He is the son of the proprietor of the ''Anthony'' clothing store and adopted the name as his stage name.
