Karina Jett
Karina Niki Jett (née Mikelis) is a professional poker player. She may be best known for her appearances on the GSN series Poker Royale Battle of the Sexes. Jett also appeared in Poker After Dark as well as Late Night Poker's fourth season. Her husband is fellow Full Tilt Poker pro Chip Jett, one of the world's foremost tournament players. The couple writes a column together for ''Card Player'' magazine, answering reader questions in a "he said/she said" format. At the 2011 World Series of Poker The 2011 World Series of Poker was the 42nd annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). The WSOP is the most prestigious poker tournament in the world with the winner of the Main Event considered to be the World Champion. 2005 World Series Of Poker
The 2005 World Series of Poker opened play on June 2nd, continuing through the Main Event No Limit World Championship starting on July 7th. The conclusion of the Main Event on July 15th marked the close of play, and the largest prize in sports and/or television history at the time ($7,500,000) was awarded to the winner. ESPN's broadcast began July 19th with coverage of WSOP Circuit Tournaments, and coverage of the Main Event began October 11th and ended November 15th. All events were held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino with the exception of the final 2 days of the Main Event which were held at Binion's Horseshoe. ''Poker Royale'' is a television series on the Game Show Network (GSN), which featured No Limit Texas hold 'em Poker. The first series began on December 7, 2004. The eighth and final series, ''Poker Royale: Young Bloods II'', began airing on December 9, 2005. The series host at its conclusion was John Ahlers, with commentary by Robert Williamson III and sideline reporting by Lisa Dergan. The series Poker Royale: The WPPA Championship The first series was based on the championship of the World Poker Players Association. Charles McRae "Chip" Jett (born September 22, 1974 in Scottsdale, Arizona) is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is one of the most popular players on the World Poker Tour. Jett has been known as "Chip" ever since he left the hospital when he was born. The nickname was suggested by a nurse to Jett's parents. His name is considered to be an aptronym. Jett began working as a poker dealer in an Indian casino, but turned into a professional player when he realized he was making more money as a player.
