Karina Habšudová
Karina Habšudová (; born 2 August 1973) is a Slovak former professional tennis player. She has been ranked as high as 10 in the world (1997). Together with Karol Kučera, she won the Hopman Cup in 1998. Her best performance at a Grand Slam tournament came when she got to the quarterfinals of the 1996 French Open, defeating Kristin Godridge, Nathalie Tauziat, Martina Hingis, and Anke Huber before losing to Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, 8–10 in the third set. She also had a successful junior career. She won the girls' singles at the 1991 US Open, and was junior No. 1 for some time. Nathalie Tauziat (born 17 October 1967) is a French former professional tennis player. She was the runner-up in women's singles at the 1998 Wimbledon Championships and runner-up in the women's doubles at the 2001 US Open partnering Kimberly Po-Messerli. Kristin Godridge (born 7 February 1973) is a retired tennis player from Australia who competed on the WTA Tour from 1987 to 1996. Karol Kučera (born 4 March 1974) is a retired ATP professional male tennis player from Slovakia. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 6 in September 1998, reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open the same year. In 2020, Kučera was elected an MP of the National Council of Slovakia representing the Ordinary People and Independent Personalities movement along with a fellow former tennis player Ján Krošlák and Romana Tabak. Rennae Stubbs and Jared Palmer defeated 1993 champions Arantxa Sánchez Vicario and Todd Woodbridge in the final, 7–5, 7–6(7–3), to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2000 Australian Open. By winning the title, Stubbs won her second Grand Slam title, after she won her first in Women's Doubles earlier in the week, and Palmer won his first major Mixed Doubles title.
