Kareem Moore
Kareem Moore (born August 13, 1984) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Nicholls State University, where he was named second-team Associated Press All-American and SLC Newcomer of the Year. Prior to Nicholls State, Moore played at Itawamba Community College, where he earned JUCO All-American honors and Ole Miss. Professional career Washington Redskins The Washington Redskins selected Moore in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. Moore would then have his first career start in the last game in the 2008 season against the San Francisco 49ers. He played in 14 games, starting one of them, and recorded 17 combined tackles. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. Itawamba Community College
Itawamba Community College is a public community college with its main campus in Fulton, Mississippi. Additional campuses are in Belden and Tupelo. History Itawamba Community College began as an extension of Itawamba County Agricultural High School, one of the largest high schools in Mississippi, which was organized in 1920. In 1941, the trustees extended the curriculum to provide for two years of college work. However, World War II postponed the plans for buildings and equipment to pursue college status. Physically unable to perform (PUP) is a roster designation used in the National Football League (NFL) for players who suffered injuries during football-related activities prior to the start of training camp. Players on the PUP list may participate in team meetings, and use team training and medical facilities, but cannot practice with their team. There are two separate PUP lists: an active PUP list used prior to the start of the regular season, and a reserve PUP list used during the regular season. Active/PUP A player who, as a result of football-related injuries, is unable to take part in training camp practices may be assigned to the active/PUP list at the start of camp. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB).
