Karan Sawhney
Karan Atul Sawhney (born 23 March 1992) is an Indian professional association football, footballer who last played as a forward (association football)#Centre-forward, striker for Kerala Blasters. Career Early career Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Sawhney started his career in the youth set-up of Mahindra United, for which he was a part of the under-15 and under-19 teams. He then moved on to the youth set-up of PIFA F.C., PIFA where his most memorable moment was when he scored against the F.C. Internazionale Milano Primavera, Inter Milan Academy side in the 2009 Gauteng Future Champions tournament. After his time at PIFA, Sawhney joined the Tata Football Academy where he graduated in 2012. The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March. The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017. Aizawl won their first title on the final day after securing a draw against Shillong Lajong on 30 April 2017.
