The team is based in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, Pakistan, and was formed in 2015 as a result of the formation of the Pakistan Super League by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The team's home ground is National Bank Cricket Arena. The team is currently coached by Peter Moores. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. Shoaib Malik (Punjabi, ur, ; born 1 February 1982) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team and currently plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was the captain of the Pakistan national cricket team from 2007 to 2009. He made his One-Day International debut in 1999 against the West Indies and his Test debut in 2001 against Bangladesh. The Dubai International Stadium, formerly known as the Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is mainly used for cricket and is one of the three main cricket stadiums in the country, the other two being Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Ravinder Singh Bopara (born 4 May 1985) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex County Cricket Club in one day cricket. Originally a top-order batsman, his developing medium pace bowling has made him a batting all rounder in the one day game. Multan Sultans (Urdu: ) is a Pakistani professional Twenty20 franchise cricket team representing the city of Multan in southern Pakistan in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Mohammad Amir ( ur, ; born 13 April 1992) is a Pakistani cricketer and bowler for the Pakistan national cricket team. He is playing as a left-arm fast-medium bowler and uses his left hand when batting. Peter Moores (cricketer)
Peter Moores (born 18 December 1962) is an English former first class cricketer who was the head coach of the men's England cricket team. Moores played as a wicketkeeper for Worcestershire and Sussex and captained Sussex in 1997. He retired from playing first-class cricket in 1998 and became the coach of Lancashire County Cricket Club, on 11 February 2009. Moores was a successful coach of Sussex leading the county to the 2003 County Championship. Moores coached England "A" on their tour of the West Indies in 2000–01 and the English National Cricket Academy from October 2005 to 2007.
