Kapron Lewis-Moore
Kapron Lewis-Moore (born January 24, 1990) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame. High school career Lewis-Moore attended Weatherford High School in Weatherford, Texas. As a junior, he collected 50 tackles and added six sacks, two forced fumbles and three recovered fumbles, and received second-team all-district honors. Considered a four-star recruit by ''Rivals.com'', he was rated as the No.19 strongside defensive end in the nation. He accepted a scholarship offer from Notre Dame over other offers from Texas A&M and Colorado. College career Lewis-Moore attended and played college football at Notre Dame from 2008–2012. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. This name is fitting because the ACL crosses the posterior cruciate ligament to form an “X”. It is composed of strong, fibrous material and assists in controlling excessive motion.
