Janina Ipohorska
Janina Ipohorska (August 15, 1914 – September 19, 1981) was a Polish painter and writer. She wrote under the pseudonyms Jan Kamyczek, Alojzy Kaczanowski and Bracia Rojek. She was born in Lviv and was educated at the University of Lviv. She also studied painting with Felicjan Kowarski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She later lectured on costume design at the Academy for three years. Ipohorska co-founded of the ''Przekrój'' weekly magazine and wrote the advice column "Demokratyczny savoir-vivre". She published a book based on her column ''Grzeczność na co dzień'' ("Everyday politeness") in 1956. She also designed sets and costumes for the theatre and translated French literature into Polish. She was screenwriter for ''Kapitan Sowa na tropie'', the first Polish crime fiction television series. Stanisław Bareja
Stanisław Sylwester Bareja (5 December 1929 – 14 June 1987) was a Polish filmmaker. Some of his films (mostly comedies) have reached cult status in Poland. His most famous film is ''Teddy Bear'' (''Miś''), filmed in 1980. His last work was ''Zmiennicy'', a TV series completed in 1986 and aired in 1987. On 21 September 2006 Bareja was posthumously awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta by President Lech Kaczynski and in 2005, a street in Warsaw was named after Stanislaw Bareja. Jerzy Matuszkiewicz
Jerzy "Duduś" Matuszkiewicz (; 10 April 1928 – 31 July 2021) was a Polish jazz musician and composer, playing saxophone, clarinet and piano. Between 1950 and 1958, he was leader of the jazz group Melomani. From 1965, he focused on composing music for films. He was a pioneer of the post-World War II jazz movement in Poland, regarded as a "Founding Father" of Polish jazz. Life and career Matuszkiewicz was born in Jasło and began playing jazz as a youth. He founded a jazz club at the YMCA in Kraków at age 20, and played with the orchestra of Kazimierz Turewicz.
