Kansas City Renegades
The Kansas City Renegades were a charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League based in Kansas City, Missouri. They played their home games at Kemper Arena. The Renegades were the second arena/indoor team based in Kansas City, following the Kansas City Command (previously known as the Kansas City Brigade) which played in the Arena Football League from 2006 until 2008 and then again from 2011 until 2012. The franchise abruptly folded in 2013 with no explanation. Franchise history 2012 The Renegades came about when the team purchased the physical assets of the Command. The Renegades are owned by Jeremy Ploeger; founder of sports management firm J&M Management, vice chairman of the Jackson County Board of Planning & Zoning Adjustments, and a former candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives in the 51st District. Kemper Arena
The Hy-Vee Arena, previously known as Kemper Arena, is an indoor arena located in Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to conversion to a youth sports and community gymnasium facility, Kemper Arena was previously a 19,500-seat professional sports arena. It has hosted NCAA Final Four basketball games, professional basketball and hockey teams, professional wrestling events, the 1976 Republican National Convention, concerts, and is the ongoing host of the American Royal livestock show. The Wichita Wild were a professional indoor football team based in Wichita, Kansas. They were members of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL). The team was founded in 2006 as an independent indoor football franchise. In 2008, the team joined United Indoor Football (UIF). They joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) during the UIF and Intense Football League merger of 2009. In 2012, the team left the IFL to become charter members of the CPIFL. The Bloomington Edge was a professional indoor football team based in Bloomington, Illinois. While it was in operation, the team hosted home games at Grossinger Motors Arena. Originally named the Bloomington Extreme, the team was a member of United Indoor Football (UIF), and joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) in 2009 during the UIF and Intense Football League merger. They left the IFL for the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) in 2013, and in 2015 the CPIFL merged with the Lone Star Football League (LSFL) to create Champions Indoor Football (CIF), where Bloomington did not follow and joined X-League Indoor Football (X-League). Salina Bombers
The Salina Bombers were a professional indoor football team based in Salina, Kansas. The team was founded by Chris Vercher, Jake Leighty and Jake Sharp in 2012 as charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL). The Bombers played their home games at the Bicentennial Center in Salina. After the Bombers folded, the Salina Liberty were started as a new indoor football franchise. The Mid-Missouri Outlaws were a professional indoor football team which began play in 2006 and were a charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League. Based in Sedalia, Missouri, the Outlaws played their home games at the Mathewson Exhibition Center at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. History The Outlaws joined the CPFL in 2006 as an expansion team before joining the American Professional Football League in 2010. Clinton Solomon
Clinton Solomon (born October 21, 1983) is an American football wide receiver for the Texas Revolution (indoor football), Texas Revolution of Champions Indoor Football (CIF). He played college football at the University of Iowa. College career Solomon signed to play football for the Iowa Hawkeyes on February 1, 2002. After playing as a freshman, Solomon left Iowa due to his poor grades, and attended Iowa Central Community College during the 2003 school year, where he played for the Tritons. After the school year, Solomon returned to the Hawkeyes. Solomon returned to Iowa with a terrific junior season, earning 2nd Team All-Big Ten Conference honors. The Kansas Koyotes, founded by Ralph Adams, were a professional indoor football and were a charter member of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League. Based in Topeka, Kansas, the Koyotes played their home games at Landon Arena. The Koyotes began play in 2003 as a professional football team.
