Kansas City Comets (2010–)
The Kansas City Comets are an indoor soccer team based in Independence, Missouri, near Kansas City. Originally called the Missouri Comets, the team joined the Major Indoor Soccer League as an expansion team in the 2010–2011 season. They play their home games at the Cable Dahmer Arena and are currently members of the Major Arena Soccer League. History The team is named after the original Kansas City Comets, who played in the original Major Indoor Soccer League from 1981–1991. Kim Røntved, a former Kansas City Comets star, was named the head coach on August 16, 2010. Assistant Coach Vlatko Andonovski was promoted to Head Coach on August 29, 2013, succeeding Røntved. Cable Dahmer Arena
Cable Dahmer Arena (formerly, Silverstein Eye Centers Arena and Independence Events Center) is a 5,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Independence, Missouri, United States. It was opened in November 2009. It serves as the home arena and administrative offices for Kansas City Mavericks in the ECHL, as well as hosts the home games of the Kansas City Comets of the Major Arena Soccer League. The arena will host more than 100 events every year, with a very large spectrum of its events including: trade shows, professional sporting events, festivals, community events, concerts and its primary tenant, Kansas City Mavericks. Raymond Lee (born April 26, 1993) is an American professional soccer who plays as a defender for the Kansas City Comets in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career Amateur Lee played four years of college soccer at the Saint Louis University between 2011 and 2014. Prior to college, Lee played for the academy of Sporting Kansas City. Professional On January 20, 2015, Lee was picked 71st overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Philadelphia Union. Lee signed with Philadelphia on March 3, 2015. Danny Waltman (born September 19, 1981, in Gig Harbor, Washington) is an American soccer player best known for his career as a goalkeeper in professional indoor soccer. He currently plays for the Tacoma Stars in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career Youth and College Waltman began his soccer career with Solaris '81, Washington state champions each of his seven seasons. He attended Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma, Washington. While there, he was a four-year starter on the boys’ soccer team. In those four seasons, the school was undefeated in league play. 2016-17 Major Arena Soccer League Season
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . 2015–16 Major Arena Soccer League Season
The 2015–16 Major Arena Soccer League season is the eighth season for the league and the second since six teams from the former Major Indoor Soccer League defected to what was formerly called the Professional Arena Soccer League. The regular season started on October 24, 2015, and ended on March 4, 2016. Each team played a 20-game schedule. It was also the 38th season of professional indoor soccer in the United States. Teams Many of the 22 teams that completed the 2014–15 season returned for the 2015–16 season. Teams not returning this season include Rochester Lancers, Wichita B-52s, Tulsa Revolution, and Monterrey Flash. In April 2015, Baltimore Blast owner Ed Hale announced that his team was withdrawing from the MASL to form a new league. 2014–15 Missouri Comets Season
The 2014–15 Missouri Comets season was the fifth season of the Missouri Comets professional indoor soccer club. The Comets, a Central Division team in the Major Arena Soccer League, played their home games in the Independence Events Center in Independence, Missouri. The team was led by head coach Vlatko Andonovski. The Comets amassed a perfect 20–0 record in the regular season and earned a bye to the second round of the MASL playoffs. They defeated the Milwaukee Wave to earn the Central Division title but lost to the Baltimore Blast in the Eastern Conference Championship.
