Kanoni, also Kanoni, Gomba or Kanoni–Gomba, is a town in the Central Region of Uganda. It is the commercial, administrative, and political headquarters of Gomba District. Gomba is a district in Central Uganda. Location Gomba District is bordered by Mubende District to the west and north, Mityana District to the northeast and Butambala District to the east. Mariam Najjemba
Mariam Najjemba Mbabaali, formerly known as Rosemary Najjemba Muyinda is a Ugandan politician. She served as the State Minister for Urban Planning in the Ugandan Cabinet from 15 August 2012, until 6 June 2016, when she was dropped from cabinet. In the cabinet, she replaced Justine Lumumba Kasule, who was appointed Government Chief Whip. The Equator
The equator is a circle of latitude, about in circumference, that divides Earth into the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu
Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, known by his stage name Bobi Wine, is a Ugandan politician, singer, and actor. He is a former Member of Parliament for Kyadondo County East constituency in Wakiso District, in Uganda's Central Region. He also leads the National Unity Platform political party. In June 2019, he announced his candidacy for the 2021 Ugandan presidential election. He participated in the 2021 election where he lost to the incumbent Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, a result which Kyagulanyi and a large section of the public strongly disputed. On December 14, 2021, he was placed under house arrest by the Government of Uganda. He has continued to protest his arrest. The ''Daily Monitor'' is a Ugandan independent daily newspaper. Its name is shared by the ''Saturday Monitor'' and ''Sunday Monitor'', which are also published by Monitor Publications Limited.
