Kanisha Sluis (born 12 August 1996) is a Dutch-Curaçaoan model and beauty pageant titleholder who crowned as Miss Curaçao 2015 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant where she placed in the Top 10 and Top 20 Miss Grand International 2022. Pageantry Miss Curaçao 2015 On 13 June 2015 Kanisha was crowned Miss Curaçao 2015 and was awarded the Miss Playa Award at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, Curaçao. Seven contestants vied for the crown. Miss Universe 2015 As Miss Curaçao 2015, Kanisha competed at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, where she made it to the Top 10 and placed 8th overall. Miss Curaçao
Miss Curaçao (In Papiamentu: ''Miss Kòrsou'') is a national beauty pageant in Curaçao. This pageant is unrelated to the Señorita Curaçao or Miss International Curaçao pageant. History The pageant started in 1963 and sends contestants to the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. The organization started with the creation of the Curaçao Youth Beauty Contest Organization (CYBECO). Between 1997 and 2006 Sheida Wever, former Miss Curaçao 1985 who went to compete to the Miss Universe pageant that same year, organized the national pageant and was the national director for both Miss World and Miss Universe. In 2006, Reinilla Productions Developments (ReProD) obtained the Miss World, Miss Intercontinental, Top Model of the World and Miss Earth franchise for Curaçao. Miss Universe 2015
Miss Universe 2015 was the 64th Miss Universe pageant, held at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 20, 2015. This was the first edition of the pageant to be held under the ownership of WME/IMG, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump on September 14, 2015. Consequently, it is also the first Miss Universe event to be aired by Fox and Azteca as the pageant's respective English and Spanish broadcasters instead of NBC. At the end of the event, Paulina Vega of Colombia crowned Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines as Miss Universe 2015. Miss Grand International 2022 was the 10th-anniversary edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on 25 October 2022 at Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor Regency of West Java province, Indonesia. The pageant featured contestants from sixty-eight countries and territories, of which, the Brazilian representative, Isabella Menin, was named the winner and crowned by Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên of Vietnam. Anne Marie Braafheid from Curaçao became the first black woman to attain the position of first runner-up in the Miss Universe 1968 contest.
