Kane Ferris
Kane Ferris is a New Zealand rugby league player who previously played in the National Rugby League. His position of preference is Prop. Playing career A longtime representative of Canterbury age groups, he made the Junior Kiwis in 2002. He played two matches for the Junior Kiwis, starting at hooker. After playing for the Canterbury Bulls in the Bartercard Cup he was spotted by the New Zealand Warriors and bought into the 25-man squad for 2004. During that season he played his one and only NRL game, against the Sydney Roosters. Later that year he represented New Zealand 'A' against a Jim Beam Cup Selection. Since then he returned to Canterbury and played for his original club the Linwood Keas. Bartercard Premiership
The NZRL Bartercard Premiership was a six-team rugby league competition that ran in 2008 and 2009. It replaced the now-defunct Bartercard Cup competition as the highest level of rugby league in New Zealand. Matches have been broadcast on SKY Network Television and Māori Television. In 2009 the competition was mirrored by Under 18 and Under 16 grade competitions. The competition was replaced by the seven-team National Zonal Competition in 2010. NSWRL Jim Beam Cup
The Ron Massey Cup (formerly known as the Bundaberg Red Cup and Jim Beam Cup) is a semi-professional development level rugby league competition in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, run jointly by the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and the Country Rugby League of New South Wales (CRL). The competition is run concurrently with the National Rugby League (NRL). It currently comprises 13 teams drawn from the Sydney metropolitan area. The competition is named after Ron Massey, a former rugby league coach. Ron Massey died 19 September 2016. The competition is an expanded version of the former Metropolitan Cup and Second Division competitions. The competition was renamed the Bundaberg Red Cup after the 2008 season (the last Jim Beam Cup season), after Bundaberg replaced former sponsor Jim Beam.
