Kandi Renae Wyatt (born 26 March 1991) is a Canadian professional boxer who has challenged for world championships in two Weight class (boxing), weight classes; the WBO and World Boxing Association, WBA female light welterweight titles in 2019 and 2020, respectively; and the Undisputed championship (boxing), undisputed female welterweight title in December 2021. Professional career Wyatt made her professional debut on 5 December 2014, scoring a fourth-round technical knockout (TKO) victory against Christina Barry at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds. The first champion of this weight class was Pinky Mitchell in 1946, though he was only awarded his championship by a vote of the readers of the ''Boxing Blade'' magazine. There was not widespread acceptance of this new weight division in its early years, and the New York State Athletic Commission withdrew recognition of it in 1930. Kali Reis (born August 24, 1986) is an American professional boxer and actress. She is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBC female middleweight title in 2016 and the WBA, WBO, and IBO female light welterweight titles between 2020 and 2022.
