Kancher Deyal ( bn, কাঁচের দেয়াল) is a 1963 Bengali-language Pakistani film. It was written and directed by Zahir Raihan. Anwar Hossain, Sumita Devi, Khan Ataur Rahman in the lead role and others supporting role were portrayed in the film. Plot A helpless young woman is raised in her maternal uncle's family. Zahir Raihan
Mohammad Zahirullah (19 August 1935 – disappeared 30 January 1972), known as Zahir Raihan, was a Bangladeshi novelist, writer and filmmaker. He is most notable for his documentary ''Stop Genocide'' (1971), made during the Bangladesh Liberation War. He was posthumously awarded Ekushey Padak in 1977 and Independence Day Award in 1992 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life and education Mohammad Zahirullah was born on 19 August 1935, at Majupur, a village in the Feni Mahakuma under Noakhali district of the Bengal Presidency in British India (now Feni district in Bangladesh). Anwar Hossain (6 December 1931 – 13 September 2013) was a Bangladeshi actor, best known for playing the role of Siraj ud-Daulah in the Bengali film Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967). He appeared in nearly 500 movies in his 50-year career. He received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film ''Lathial'' (1975) and Best Supporting Actor awards for the films again for ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' (1978) and ''Dayi Ke?'' (1987). Early life Hossain was born in Jamalpur, as the third child of Nazir Hossain and Shadiya Khatun. Career Hossain started his film career through ''Tomar Amar'', released in 1958. Nilufar Begum (2 February 1936 – 6 January 2004; born Hena Bhattacharya), better known by her stage name Sumita Devi, was a Bangladeshi actress. In 45 years of her career, she acted in around 200 films and 150 radio and television dramas. She was an artist at the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra in 1971. Khan Ataur Rahman (known as Khan Ata; 11 December 1928 – 1 December 1997) was a Bangladeshi film actor, director, producer, screenplay writer, music composer, and singer, best known for his role in the film ''Jibon Theke Neya'' (1970). Mosammat Amirun Nesa Khanam, known by her stage name Rani Sarker (born 1931 or 1932 – died 7 July 2018) was a Bangladeshi film actress. She started her acting career in Bengali cinema in the 1960s. Inam Ahmed (1 February 1922 – 13 September 2003) was a Bangladeshi film actor. He also acted in plays. He first appeared on onscreen in the West Bengali film ''Somadhan'' in 1943. Early life Ahmed was born in 1922 to a Muslim family in Golapganj Upazila of Sylhet District in East Bengal. He began acting in plays at the age of 8. In 1941, he graduated from Calcutta University and then joined the Assam Civil police. Career Ahmed took part in several plays on a regular basis when he was in Assam.
